This week, our twitter feed has been chock-a-block with feedback from the voluntary sector celebrating #VolunteersWeek.

The Surrey Bacchus nominated charity, Princess Alice Trust, have been particularly vocal in their support of volunteers.

Last weekend we were at the Outlaw half iron distance event, organised by event company One Step Beyond.  The weather conditions were absolutely atrocious.  (Anyone who attended either the Molehills last year or the Spitfire this year would have recognised them immediately ;)

One Step Beyond put on a fabulous and well organised event, not least because of the amazing marshals who were out in high winds and torrential rain and still managed to remain cheery and encouraging.

Here at Events to Live, we rely on a huge amount of volunteers to help the events run as smoothly as possible.  Thanks mostly to Tracy and her band of helpers from the East Surrey Guiding association who come along to raise money for their own various good causes.

Without the assistance of these amazing people, we would never be able to achieve the work we do.  And we know how much a 'thank you' or 'good job' can make their generosity valued and worthwhile.

There are so many organisations who rely on the good nature of people to volunteer their time to help their cause.  So, in celebration of #VolunteersWeek consider donating some time to become a volunteer or give a cheery thanks to those who give their time, it will be very welcome.
